Day 361

Mirror Mirror on the Police Station Wall
Yes..and I was not arrested for taking this photo, mainly because it was closed (not maned 24 hours a day) though one car did reverse back while at the lights in a strange way... could have been checking me out cause I looked so suspicious.....

Day 360

I noticed this while out for a walk this evening, it made me laugh.
How will they know when it is Christmas, Easter, Back to School, Father's Day, Mother's Day.....umm did I leave any out?

Day 359

Day 358

Christmas Eve in Melbourne.
The sun was warm during the day, the evening had a chill in the air.
Time to enjoy the Christmas spirit.

Day 350

Australia is the most urbanised country, yet we have so much land mass. Fortunately even in our large urban cities we have many many open spaces, parks and gardens. "Healthy parks, healthy people" the local parks authority uses.

Day 349

Merri creek

Day 348

Day 347

Evening Walk

Day 346

Taken in the closing minutes of the day, with ideas long gone, a photo is more than light and shade, some beautiful photos are simple the press of a button, some ordinary ones can mean much more.

Day 342

Lots of Gum trees are shedding the outer layer of bark, the colours are great and even better when it rains and the bark is wet.

Day 341

Was not my original plan to use this type of photo, but I like what this represents.

Day 340

This is what many Melbourne cyclists can be seen wearing during spring.
I don't quite see the logic, the helmets are designed to take the full brunt of cyclists head going concrete bound, don't see why it cannot withstand the beak of a magpie.

Day 339

We have an abundance of magpies in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. In spring they become protective of their young and can swoop if you get too close, a common problem on the bike & walking paths. Cyclists have been using a novel if not strange technique to protect themselves from swooping magpies, see tomorrows photo :)
If you look closely there are two bugs buzzing around near the left of frame.

It reminded me of the old TV series H.R. Pufnstuf

Day 315

50 days to go....
Yesterday seems a life time ago but day one seems only hours ago.
This was not the photo I set out to create today, the subject is, but in the end this was my personal choice.
